In her formative years, LesaMarie witnessed her single mother struggle to provide for a family of three on her own. This experience shaped her into a strong, accomplished woman with ambition and tenacity. She learned early on to establish substantial and significant goals for herself and to pursue the course toward accomplishment with determination and perseverance. 

As a result of her admiration for the United States, she enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 22. While serving in the Navy, she saw first-hand how crucial it was for women and minorities to have their voices heard in key decision making environments.

Armed with over a decade of experience as an analyst with proven programming experience, LesaMarie founded Serilda LLC in 2021 to address a need in the industry that she could not ignore: the under-representation of women and minorities in project and portfolio management for the growing global professional services market. 

“Serilda,” which is derived from the Germanic and Teutonic name meaning Armored Battle Maiden, reflects LesaMarie’s time spent aboard ships with the United States Navy as well as her employment in numerous capacities inside the Department of Defense. With this knowledge and expertise in mind, the team at Serilda is always striving to be the best for the country – offering world-class solutions to its customers via innovative best practices and efficacy that are unrivaled in the industry.

LesaMarie adds a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program and portfolio lifecycles. For the majority of her professional tenure, she has provided on-time, competent solutions to the customers with whom she has worked, including IWS10, CVN 79/80, DARPA, and the United States Navy. In her previous projects, she has shown her ability to approach a project from a holistic perspective and then successfully manage the specifics to see it through to completion.

LesaMarie holds a Master of Organizational Leadership degree from Stratford University, which equips her with the skills to build a high-quality, diverse corporate culture that emphasizes marketing, decision-making, strategic planning, and innovative thinking. As a result of her fluency in three languages (English, Spanish, and Tagalog), she can attract and retain a diverse team of people that contribute a wide range of experiences to the business, making Serilda uniquely qualified to innovate and alter the industry. LesaMarie’s own commitment to customer service, safety, cost-efficacy, and timeliness guide Serilda to be a forerunner in this growing industry and she is committed to providing a best-in-class experience for her clients over a broad range of services.
